When a 999 call is received by the ambulance service, a volunteer community responder who is on call is alerted and dispatched, in addition to an ambulance.  Due to our rural location it is likely that a responder will arrive first.

Prior to the arrival of the ambulance, responders are trained to deliver life saving treatment which includes the use of an automated defibrillator.

Due to relocation we are losing a valuable member of the team and are urgently seeking new recruits. Would you consider joining our team? Community responding is a valuable service to the community so if you are interested give Brenda a ring on 01903 740583.
